The GOAL of the Medical Teams International Advantage Program is to share the love of Christ by empowering persons with physical disabilities to function independently and fully within the immediate community and society of Haiti.

The OBJECTIVES are to increase the physical, emotional and economic capacity of persons with disabilities and to

• dvocate alongside persons with disability to reduce social stigma and increase knowledge regarding abilities.

HISTORY: 

Effective July 2010, Medical Teams International has taken responsibility for oversight and funding of the Advantage Program. With the support of organizations, individuals, churches and grants, the Advantage Program continues the foundational mission that began in 2001: to listen to and learn from persons with disabilities to assist empowerment of this vulnerable population.
